THE Licensure Examination for Mining Engineers (LEME) on July 12 to 14 was reset to August because of “concerns on the health and safety of the examinees and examiners and the associated travel restrictions” stemming from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said on Tuesday.

The PRC said it received requests from schools to postpone the July 2021 LEME and reschedule it to August 9-11. These schools include the University of the Philippines – Diliman, Saint Louis University – Baguio, Bicol University – Legazpi, St. Paul University – Surigao, and Mindanao State University – Ilagan.

As a small-scale examination, its stakeholders may recommend the cancellation or postponement of the LEME as endorsed by the concerned Professional Regulatory Board.
